Photo exhibition about Ukrainian volunteers who are eliminating the devastating consequences of the Russian invasion opens in Alytus, Lithuania

The photo exhibition Chronicles of Unknown Superheroes Ukrainians will be presented in Alytus on October 30, 2023.

The traveling media project tells the story of volunteers - ordinary Ukrainians who are lawyers and designers, accountants and managers five days a week, trying to live ordinary and fulfilling lives in a world where ballistic missile attacks have become a strange norm. On their weekends, they "put on superhero costumes" - gloves, masks, and construction helmets - and help the victims of the Russian invasion who have lost their homes.

The photographs of the photo exhibition show activists of the Ukrainian volunteer community B50, which is engaged in the reconstruction of their country. They have been eliminating the consequences of the Russian invasion since the first months of the war.

The purpose of the event is to show the devastating consequences of the war in Ukraine, to inspire viewers with the resilience of Ukrainians and to raise funds for the restoration of homes.

In Alytus, the event is supported by the Alytus City Municipality.

The official opening of the exhibition with the participation of B50 community volunteers will take place on October 30 at 16:00.

The exhibition will be open from November 1 to 30 at the following address:

Lithuania, Alytus, Rotušės a. 4
