One of the most impressive musical performances of the "Lietuva" ensemble, beloved by the audience, returns to the stage - the mystery "Gods and People". It is a modern interpretation of Baltic culture - a dance and music performance, where modern music and dance intertwine with archaic sounds, conventions and rituals. The experiences are enhanced by the innovative scenography of the mystery: the performers seem to be in living paintings in a multi-layered projection - the impression of a three-dimensional image is created.

The music and dance performance "Gods and People" conveys the relationship between the gods and people of the Baltic religion, their love, passion and painful experiences. Perhaps the most intimate scene of the mystery is the act of love. The birth of life, subtly depicted through dance, will remind us of the power of love and the seed of divinity planted in humanity to create another human being.

The distant and enigmatic past, shrouded in secrets, attracts many curious people. Leokadija Dabužinskaitė, the director of the performance, who was awarded the Knight's Cross of the Order "For Merit to Lithuania" by President Dalia Grybauskaitė, decided to decode Baltic culture. L. Dabužinskaitė also created another project of the "Lietuva" ensemble - the theatrical oratorio "13" dedicated to the memory of the defenders of freedom.

The successful tour of "Gods and People" in Lithuania brought together halls full of spectators, fans of culture and art, as well as foreign guests. The stunned audience lived through personal experiences of the birth of life, sensitive family scenes and the death of the eldest son - a soldier in battle, while the pagan rituals of the Balts were revived in a modern form that has no analogues in Lithuania. Then the event did not leave anyone indifferent: some were in tears, others gasped in surprise, others plunged into a mystical and enchanting dream.

Unusual tones, messenger invocations and low sounds - these are just some of the surprising things. The mystery will feature original electronic versions of archaic chants, songs and contracts created by composers Linas Rimša and Aro Žvirblis, enhanced by engaging repetitions, primitive and meditative sounds. The musical performance "Gods and People" will add mysticism not only to polyphonic chants performed by the "Lietuva" choir, but also to throat, bourdon and folkloric singing styles.

The modern dance choreography was created by the famous Latvian song festival choreographer, founder of the modern dance school "Dzirnas" Agris Danilevičs, as well as modern dance choreographers Agnė Rickevičienė, Sandra Muningytė - Domingo, director Leokadija Dabužinskaitė and dance competition prize winner Dainius Biskis.

Spectators will also see the historical costumes of white tribes, restored according to archaeological research. Daiva Samajauskaitė, a well-known theater scenographer, awarded the Golden Cross of the Stage, is a costume and scenography artist. The mythological gods in the performance are represented by collages made from fragments of paintings by Mikalojus Konstantinas Čiurlionis.

Video projections were created by Rimas Sakalauskas, the visualization artist of the performance, who was also repeatedly awarded the Golden Cross of the Stage. The author of the texts of some works is the laureate of the Lithuanian National Culture and Art Prize, poet and translator Vladas Braziūnas.

In addition to the state ensemble Lietuva, guest performers also participate in the mystery: folklore soloists, dancers and actors.
