Alytus Tourism Information Center February 28 - March 1 presented tourism resources of Alytus region at the international tourism exhibition "Targi turystyki 2020" in Wroclaw, Poland.
Alytus region tourism destinations, objects, tourism routes, recreational opportunities, rural tourism homesteads, culinary programs, and other services were presented together with tourism offers of neighboring Lazdijai district, Trakai, Vilnius and Palanga, organized by UAB "Senamiesčio gidas". Individual visitors were interested in a variety of information - active recreation opportunities, cycling trails and routes, accommodation services, rural tourism, water tourism trails, national and regional parks, entertainment, food, tasting tours, pilgrimage tours and more.
Alytus Tourism Information Center presented in the exhibition publications about Alytus region in Polish, maps of Alytus bicycle paths, information about Alytus region towns, Tarzania adventure park, St. Jacob's pilgrimage in Lithuania, Alita's educational program, culinary programs and other information.
The Tourism Information Center took part in the exhibition in Wroclaw for the first time. The exhibition, which took place over three days in Wroclaw Stadium, was attended by more than 12 000 visitors and presented by more than 200 participants. Neighboring Poland remains one of the most promising tourism markets in Lithuania. According to visitor statistics of Alytus Tourism Information Center, Polish tourists are among the most important and most numerous tourists visiting our country. In Alytus during 2019 over 800 guests from Poland stayed.
